Feldspar of glassy purity bearing a mobile blue sheen, drawn from the well-known fields of the south.
The Stone
Moonstone is orthoclase of glassy purity, its body crossed by a soft blue light that moves as the stone turns: adularescence, the trade's oldest romance. The bluer and more mobile the sheen, the finer the stone.
Disposition
Drawn from the well-known fields of the south, the house's moonstone is graded for body clarity and the colour of its sheen. Cabochons are cut to set the light floating just beneath the dome.
