The pigeon pea of the Deccan, split and husked to a bright golden yellow. Drawn from Latur and Kalaburagi, with the GI-marked lots (Navapur, Kalaburagi, Borsuri) reserved by allocation.

Provenance

Toor is the Deccan's gram, drawn from the trading floors of Latur and Kalaburagi where Maharashtra and Karnataka meet. The house carries the premium processed dal, and holds the three lots that carry a Geographical Indication, Navapur, Kalaburagi, and Borsuri, for counterparties of particular habit.

Carriage & Packing

Split and decorticated to a bright, even gold, every lot passes the colour-sorter and the metal detector before it is bagged. Unpolished, water-polished, or oil-polished as the buyer directs, declared on the certificate: twelve months of shelf unpolished, eighteen under oil.
