The golden root of the south, valued for its hue and its steady constancy. Cured, polished, and bound for pantries far from where it grew.
Provenance
Turmeric is lifted from the red soils of southern India, boiled, dried, and polished in the manner the trade has kept for generations. The house looks for depth of colour and constancy from finger to finger, the qualities by which a pantry judges its supplier.
Carriage & Grade
Cured fingers are carried whole, their colour declared by lot. Constancy is the house's covenant: the turmeric a counterparty receives in the spring should be the turmeric they knew in the autumn, season's variance honestly stated.
